Thank you to the many teachers representing over 12 schools, who joined us on May 28th for a regional teacher meeting showing our concern about PARCC testing. The meeting was an opportunity for us to voice and document those concerns and to show the magnitude of those concerns.
Check back here for the next meeting, Fall, 2015.
The teachers at City Neighbors have been working to clarify and organize a strong, structured pushback against PARCC testing. In order to be successful and make a difference, we need a wide and deep coalition of educators to join us. That’s why we’re reaching out to you.
We invite you to participate in this pushback against PARCC testing in three ways.
Take this PARCC Survey.
Please send the survey to as many Maryland educator friends as you have. Our hope is to have hundreds of people complete this survey and to utilize that data to build a strong case.
Look for and attend the next PARCC Teacher Meeting this Fall, 2015. (Check back here for details.)
Sign the PARCC Petition
Please take a moment to sign the Coalition Against PARCC Testing Petition to the Governor. We need to let him know that we are against the PARCC, and we are not alone.
